Who we are

Smart Code Solution is a software development studio based in Brno, Czechia. This policy explains what personal data we collect through smartcodesolution.com, why, and what rights you have over it. What data we collect

• Contact and enquiry data: name, email address, and — if you provide them — phone number and company name, submitted through the contact form.
• Billing data: name, billing address, country, and — where applicable — an EU VAT ID, collected at checkout to issue an invoice and apply the correct VAT treatment.
• Usage data: if you accept the Analytics cookie category, Google Analytics 4 collects standard usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) to help us understand how the site is used. This is off by default — see the Cookie Policy.

Why we collect it and our legal basis

• To respond to your enquiry and deliver a quoted service — performance of a contract or taking steps prior to entering one, under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
• To issue invoices and meet our accounting obligations — legal obligation, Article 6(1)(c).
• To understand site usage, only once you've consented — consent, Article 6(1)(a).
• To prevent spam submissions through our forms — legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f).

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and billing data for as long as needed to deliver the service, meet our invoicing and tax obligations (Czech law generally requires accounting records to be kept for several years), and resolve any dispute. Analytics data is retained per Google's standard GA4 retention settings and is deleted automatically after that window.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with any third party for their own marketing purposes.

• Form and lead delivery: our contact-form submissions are routed through a third-party form-delivery service to reach our inbox.
• Analytics: Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics 4), only once you've accepted the Analytics cookie category. Data may be processed on servers outside the EU/EEA; where it is, Google's Standard Contractual Clauses apply.
• Payment: if you choose bank transfer, your billing details appear on the invoice we issue. The card-payment option at checkout is a demonstration flow — it does not transmit or store card data anywhere.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to how we process it. To exercise any of these, email support@smartcodesolution.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.cz).
